products:
The Spin2000™ system uses rotating membrane disks operating at variable speeds to process solutions with high solids loading. These would be difficult to treat with conventional membrane systems.
The Spin2000™ comprises a series of circular, porous polymeric discs, vertically mounted on a rotating hollow shaft.
Feed is first pumped through the top of the unit and passes horizontally over the rotating membranes.
The proprietary system can regulate the buildup of solids on the filter by adjusting the speed of the rotating shaft. This also minimizes membrane fouling.
The filtrate then passes through membrane pores of up to 0.02 microns and is drawn off through the hollow shaft. The rejected solids are removed by centrifugal forces from the rotating disks.
company profile:
Hyflux Ltd began in 1989 as Hydrochem (S) Pte Ltd, a trading company selling water treatment systems in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and later, China. A little more than a decade later, Hyflux Ltd became the first company to be listed on the Singapore stock exchange in January 2001 and it is an index stock on the Straits Times Index since March 2005.
